Flaneur's Theory: The Murphy's Law Chapter

According to Wikipedia Murphy's law is an adage or epigram that is typically stated as: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong."

Well, I'd like to adjust that to mine the girl's next door everyday life. Are you having a crush on someone -like a fellow student, a neighbor or a stranger that you've seen twice in the subway- you'd like to see more often? Here's the solution:

Try turning up in sweats, no makeup or messy hair (oily hair works too. Skip washing them a couple days. It might sound gross, but it is said to be actually beneficial for the hair.)

Why?

He'll definitely show up. It is the application of Murphy's law, which is proven every single time. The more dressed up you are, the less likely you are to meet him. The less time you spent in front of the mirror this morning, the more likely you are to encounter him. To me it always happens when I go to the supermarket; I'm not expecting to see anyone more interesting that Mr Broccoli and Ms Carrot, but taraaah! there he stands -former crush/ current crush/ ex that somehow looks better when we broke up/ super hot neighbor/ handsome tall stranger (with a beard, please!)

PS: Of course if you are aware that he's going to show up somewhere, like this event on Facebook he said he'll attend, make an effort to look your best.
